Italy bits & pieces
The
Italy we know and love has the obvious appeal of superb landscapes
and wonderful architecture - but there are, too, the small details
that give character from ancient doors and handles, to pictures
made from flowers...there is an inexhaustible supply of photogenic
subjects.
Here you will find a selection of those elements that add to the
enduring appeal of Italy. There is no particular theme other than
that these are things that have caught our attention...in our image
collection there are thousands more drawn from all over mainland
Italy and the islands.
Italy has a vast amount to offer any photographer professional or
amateur. There are the Italian hiiltowns, centuries of history in a
wonderful landscape with lighting that is often spectacular -
especially in autumn, through winter into spring. Summer can be a
bit harsh but then one has to work in early morning or
evening.
Surprisingly to some Italy has some of the very best Greek ruins
available anywhere thanks to the settlers who arrived over two
thousand years ago. And then there is the natural landscape - the
displays of flowers in early summer - the diversity is
incredible.
