Mezereon (Daphne mezereon). A rare species,endangered in the UK. Pink flowers appear before the leaves early in the year: berries are highly poisonous. A plant of mountain woodlands and pastures always on limestone. Campo Imperatore, Abruzzo, Italy, May 2021
