Hybrid vanilla orchid G. x suaveolens This is a hybrid between Gymnadenia conopsea and G. rhellicani. The fragrant orchid (Gymnadenia conopsea) and the Alpine vanilla orchid ( G. Rhellicani - formerly known as Nigritella ssp. rhellicani) are both butterfly and moth pollinated and when they grow together as in the Trento region hybrids are formed.
