Southern bladderwort (Utricularia australis) Has flowers are born on aerial stems that rise from the mass of stems and roots below water. The finely divided leaves have bladders that can catch tiny water fleas and other microscopic creatures. The bladders operate at very high speeds (less than 4milliseconds) triggerd by external hairs and powered by hydraulic pressure.
