The Apennines - Sibiillini, Monte Terminillo & Abruzzo

Although the Apennines do not reach the heights of the Alps they are are a wonderful reservoir of biodiversity...wild plants, butterflies and other insects, birds and mammals such as the wolf and Marsican brown bear. The images are drawn from three major areas along the length of the chain the Sibillini, Monte Terminillo and The Abruzoo (especially the region around Gran Sasso)
